– About –
Welcome to my website. My name is Greg Coyne and I am a Wildlife Photographer working out of Bromham in Bedfordshire right next to the River Ouse. I am hoping that you will find on this website some images that you like, some courses and trips that I run, some places that you may decide to visit, but most importantly share my love for some of the subjects that I have been lucky enough to photograph.
I offer trips and photography experiences details of which you can find on this website and I also offer one2one days where we can spend some time either in your locality or further afield getting you more experienced with your camera but at the same time getting you some great images from the day.
I seem to remember always having cameras around the house when growing up. My Dad was always keen on photography and was often upgrading his Pentax camera and lenses. We always had loads of family snaps and movies from holidays, and he even developed his own photographs. So no surprise that I followed in those footsteps.
From holidays snaps when younger, through to taking a camera along to concerts in my teens, I then moved on to appreciate landscapes and wildlife. But for years I just used a compact camera - point and click - until I found I had more time on my hands to take things a little bit more seriously.
So now my family think I see life through a lens - I usually tend to always have my camera at hand just in case....

I have over the years attended many courses, holidays, and trips myself so I know it can be quite daunting when you set out to take your camera off "AUTO" and improve your photography. But you can take away the fear factor because with a bit of help, your perseverance and great subjects you can soon be taking brilliant photographs. If you come on my one of my arranged trips/courses you will come back afterwards with lots of superb photographs but also many great memories...
Well my long suffering family would probably answer.. anything that moves, and anything that doesn't move. Living in a rural setting we are lucky have the River Ouse nearby, open fields, and a garden that seems to attract a significant amount of wildlife. I'm happy in a hide ( don't believe those that say its "Pay and Display" photography - its not !! ), just wandering about locally using field craft, or traveling around Europe for the more exotic such as Bears in Finland or Africa for Leopards.
What you will find on this website is a mixture of many genres so hopefully there will be something of interest to most visitors.
What about photographic courses... well I run a few trips, mainly up to Scotland, but I am happy to do One2One sessions for anyone who wants to get a bit more confidence using their gear. Those can be tailor made to your requirements either local to you or in one of the many great hide sites that I have come across over the years.
Camera 1 is now an Olympus E-M1 Mark 2 ( I have just moved over to Olympus from Nikon).
Lenses: Olympus - PRO 300mm f/4, PRO 40-150mm f/2.8, PRO 14-40mm f/2.8, PRO 7-14mm f/2.8 and Olympus 60mm
Teleconverters - Olympus 1.4TC
Tripod - Gitzo GT3552 with a Wimberley Head Mk2 and Large Uniqball
Bags and Holdalls - Main bag now is a GURA GEAR 32L. The Gura Gear has taken my gear safely all over Europe and to Africa... I couldn’t do without it.
Here are some initial links to websites that I have found of interest or have used over the last few years. I am happy to add reciprocal links to this page but links MUST be relevant to wildlife photography. If you would like to be linked to this website please email or message me first....
